Attention PRINTS Parents: San Mateo November 7th CIN, "Children and Media"

Dear PRINTS Parents,

Electronic media and digital devices have significantly changed the way people of all ages live and interact. This Thursday, November 7^th, at 5 in the evening, our Community Involvement Night is a chance for us to explore with you the role media plays in our lives across the four planes of development.

We look forward to your participation and encourage your participation to gain a deeper understanding of ways we can use to help our children interact with media. By doing this, we can all achieve consistency in our practices, whether at home or in school.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday at 5 p.m.!

Attention PRINTS Parents: Veteran's Day Observed, Monday, November 11th

Attention PRINTS Parents: Half-day Friday November 8th

Dear Parents,

As a reminder, November 8th, 2013 is a half-day Friday. All classes except those at the high school will end at 12:30 pm. Lunch will be served at 11:30. Childcare is available for those enrolled in the After-School Childcare Package.

A Day in the Life: Grandparents Day in San Mateo

In San Mateo, Grandparents' Day was a happy event. The children were very excited to welcome their grandparents to their classes.

In the Infant Community...

 We greeted our grandparents...

 ...served them water...

...and food...

 ...sang to them...

 ...and even gave them back massages!



In the Children's House..

...we showed our grandparents our many activities.

We served tea...

..as well as baked goods we prepared especially for our grandparents.

We also sang songs!

In Elementary, it was business as usual. We showed our grandparents how we work and take care of our classroom...

 ...and we gathered, to give presentations we created especially for them!

 We had a great time having our grandparents with us...

...and we hope they had a great time too!

The Erdkinder visited Self Help for the Elderly in San Mateo...

We interviewed our elders in Mandarin, and learned about their lives.

Some had very interesting stories to tell. 

After our interviews, we joined them for lunch, and continued our conversations.

A Day in life: Emeryille Infant Community

We love taking care of the outdoor environment.

I'm collecting dried leaves to spruce up the garden.

Childcare is available for $25 per child and $30 per child with a meal. If you need childcare service, please sign up on the daily sign-in/out board.
