Historical Halloween in the Erdkinder Community

This year, the EK community is studying the Americas, so our Historical Halloween comprised interesting and important characters from American history. Characters ranged from about the early 1800's to the 1960's. It was a fun and informative event and - as always - the costumes were extremely creative and colorful!

Ashley came as Shirley Temple, the child movie star of the Great Depression.

Cayle researched and wrote about Sacagawea, the Native American guide to the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

A montage of all the characters!

Emily came dressed as the iconic feminist "Rosie the Riveter" and talked about women's contributions to WWII.

Fiona was William Randolph Hearst. She presented on his extraordinary life and newspaper empire.

Maggie was Walt Disney! She wrote and talked about his life and his amazing animations.

Steven was Neil Armstrong, astronaut and first man on the moon!
