History Trip to Boston and Massachusetts

The Erdkinder and High-School's Week on the East Coast!

Last week, the EK/HS program traveled to a very historically important state: Massachusetts. This trip was the culmination of our entire year's study of America and provided an amazing opportunity to visit many of the places we have read about in both our literature lessons and history lessons for the year.

A Sunny Day at Plimoth Plantation
It would take a long time to list all of the places we visited that helped inform us about the pre-colonial times, Colonial period and the path to American independence, but we chose just a few images to illustrate our journey here. At the end of the blog, you'll find a list of all the places we visited and toured.
Bunker Hill Monument
Charlestown MA is rich with history and we started our walk along the entire Freedom Trail here. Two students chose to run up the Bunker Hill monument - it has almost 300 steps!

A Fun Stop for a Photo on the Freedom Trail!
Overall, this was a truly memorable trip and one that the students will reflect upon and learn from in the years to come!
